Kenan Poole, a rising senior on the College of North Carolina, made a 15-foot putt for birdie on the primary playoff gap to win the 2022 North Carolina Novice Sunday on the Greensboro Nation Membership.
 
Poole is the fourth UNC males’s golfer to win the North Carolina Novice within the final decade, becoming a member of Josh Martin in 2014, Carter Jenkins in 2015 and Peter Fountain in 2020.
 
The Raleigh, N.C., native shot 66-69-68-73 for 12-under 276 to get right into a two-man playoff with Ryan O’Neil of Waxhaw, N.C.
 
Earlier this yr, Poole was co-medalist on the Ross Collegiate in Southern Pines, N.C.
